This course presents the review of the research process that includes problem identification and definition, formulation of theoretical and conceptual framework, objectives and hypotheses, identification of study variables, selection of appropriate designs, sampling, data collection, data processing, data analysis and interpretation and report writing.

It emphasizes the qualitative methods in collecting data such as interviews and focus groups discussion. Differentiate the different types of qualitative research such as Ethnography, Narrative, Phenomenological, Grounded Theory and Case Study and to determine which type to be used in given situation.
